The Project
The vision was there - a solution providing business intelligence and financial analysis about your business,
24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When iLumen decided to pump up their technology and design one of the
largest web-based financial applications in history, they organized over 8 vendors to rise to the challenge. After
months of confusion and frustration, they fired 8 and chose one.
iMonitor is the culmination of thousands of hours of design, development, and implementation.
At the core of iMonitor is a collaboration platform built on top of Breakthrough's Aspen
Technology. Secure access to "rooms", business outlooks, documents, discussion areas, and
customized reporting for the iMonitor product rest on a multi-server web farm and
clustered database architecture.
iMonitor utilizes the latest in Microsoft's XML technologies, including SQL Server 2000's
lastest enhancements for rapid retrieval of data via XML.
From data import processes to export routines, XML is used extensively to provide iMonitor
the utmost in flexibility and open architecture.
