”iLumen is an impressive company today, but like most, has modest beginnings. iLumen was first introduced to Breakthrough in 2001 through a top area consultancy firm engaged to find a technology partner for the new startup. The iLumen executive team of two had a big vision - very big - and they were anxious to find a team that could take their 300+ page Excel spreadsheet and turn it into an online financial service.
iMonitor was the first incarnation of that vision, which has now grown into an interconnected suite of financial solutions marketed by the company. At the core of iMonitor is a Breakthrough-designed web and database architecture providing a robust and modular security system, multi-company data segregation, co-branding, analytics, reporting, graphing, document management, and a back-end repository capable of managing massive amounts of private company data across any vertical.
Financial data is uploaded from company general ledger systems, analyzed for completeness, calculated, normalized, scrubbed and benchmarked to empower iLumen to deliver unique service offerings to their industry leveraging their comprehensive data store. Today iLumen customers include major financial institutions and some of the largest accounting firms in the U.S.
