iNetNow
iNetNow was a true internet startup. Armed with a dream, funding, and a prototype, iNetNow leaped into the emerging market of personalized online services by providing the first online personal assistant to consumers. Consumers could use a telephone to call iNetNow’s trained surfers to perform research, provide directions, shop, and answer any question asked by a caller.
To round out the company's suite of products and services, iNetNow needed to rapidly design, build, and deploy a personal portal for use by its paying customers. Breakthrough Technologies was challenged to come up with the design, look and feel, back-end architecture, select strategic partners, and turnkey the project from concept to a hosted reality in under 3 months.
Partnered at the hip, Breakthrough collaborated with the company's internal team to create and deploy their flagship portal. The resulting platform pulls news, stocks, and sports from content providers, empowers the user with a personalized calendar, address book, and to-do list, provides access to call history, account, and billing services, integrates with a customized synchronization engine for data transfer with Outlook and a Palm Pilot, and incorporates online registration and signup services for new customers.
The prototype to secure funding was developed in 10 days. The corporate web site with registration was developed in 6 weeks, and the first release of iNetNow’s Companion Page was launched 10 weeks from project initiation.
