TIBCO RocketStream
TIBCO recently announced that it will no longer provide the RocketStream application suite to the public, and intends to discontinue product support by June 2012. Although RocketStream is no longer available by TIBCO in its original form, an improved technology called Broadwake exists as a direct replacement for the RocketStream product line and will be available later this year from Breakthrough and its partners at affordable pricing. If you'd like to purchase Broadwake prior to official release, please contact Breakthrough to discuss options.
The RocketStream® software suite is a file transfer acceleration solution that overcomes the harmful effects of network latency on IP data throughput. RocketStream® is as easy to use as an FTP client, but don’t be fooled: this spaceship is powered by the RocketStream® Protocol, capable of blistering speeds up to 30x faster than traditional FTP. Available in client/server and peer-to-peer configurations, RocketStream® combines all of the control features you need to oversee your network with an extremely user-friendly interface.

History
Breakthrough originally invented RocketStream in 2001 as a video telemetry platform for one-to-many conferencing and distance learning applications. In 2005, it underwent a ground-up rewrite to better serve the fast file transfer market, resulting in the product line known today as "RocketStream". RocketStream was acquired from Breakthrough in 2006 and through a series of acquisitions is now the property of TIBCO.

Broadwake
Breakthrough's own acceleration platform called Broadwake effectively extends the applicability of the original technology into new markets. Improvements include a hardened server platform delivering better multi-user concurrency, improved stability, FIPS 140-2 compliant encryption, byte-stream deduplication, delta block transfer, and a new transmission protocol called BTP.
The Broadwake engine powers applications serving thousands of customers every day, remains rock-solid stable under harsh conditions, and supports deployments on Windows, Linux, and OS/X operating systems.
